“it’s a spell that brings positive energy, courage, joy and love.”

Peter Wu (BIKUTAMALAMIA) received his Master of Fine Arts (DNSEP) from the École supérieure des beaux-arts du Mans, France, and participated in the Erasmus exchange program at the National College of Art and Design in Dublin, Ireland. He lived and worked in France for seven years, an experience that profoundly shaped his artistic perspective and interdisciplinary approach.

Wu’s practice spans painting, photography, and mixed media, grounded in his belief that art and life are inseparable. His work is characterized by surreal, frameless compositions and a vivid use of color, which he regards as a bridge between inner imagination and external reality. Through visual and emotional resonance, his work seeks to channel positive energy and foster a subtle spiritual connection with the viewer.

By integrating his artistic language into everyday objects, Wu challenges conventional boundaries between fine art and daily life, creating works that are both accessible and immersive. His approach reflects a commitment to bringing art into lived experience rather than confining it within traditional exhibition spaces.

In addition to his solo practice, Wu has participated in various exhibitions and collaborative projects, including partnerships with Sulwhasoo, NIKE, JOYCE, SALLYcoco, and Stain+. Through these collaborations, he continues to expand the dialogue between contemporary art and lifestyle.

Wu is currently based in Hong Kong, where he continues to explore the emotional and transformative potential of color and form.
